About

Handwashing Help

This year, the world has been reminded how important handwashing is in fighting infections like coronavirus.

For handwashing to be effective, every part of the process must be done properly.  It's a skill that takes time to learn, and the earlier we can learn it the better for our health.

To help my children's primary school follow national handwashing guidelines I searched for a child-friendly poster that included all three stages of effective handwashing: get ready, wash and check and dry.  I couldn't find anything to fit the bill, so designed one instead.

Regular handwashing and sanitising takes its toll on our skin.  Again, I couldn't find a child-friendly poster to help with hand care so created one based on expert guidelines.

The Handwashing Help site now exists for anyone to access these resources for free to help embed great handwashing and hand care with their children.

I am developing content for other ages and groups, so please check back or contact with requests and feedback.

Thank you for your interest.  If you like this site please tell a friend!
